May is coming to an end and we will finish this beautiful spring month by embracing this months feature the Halifax Contrast collection from NovaSolo.
Halifax Contrast is the sister collection to Halifax. Sculpted out of kiln-dried mahogany and with the same traditional detailing that makes the entire Halifax family of designs so covetable, it has one obvious difference: contrast. Each piece in the collection combines Halifax’s signature bright white finish with semi-gloss black top for an elegant monochrome look.
Let’s have a look at the collection.
A go-anywhere design
A dining room buffets for storing dinner party essentials. A home office hero for paperwork and colouring crayons. A hallway sideboards for tidying away everyday essentials and displaying a fresh bouquet.
Two spacious cupboards are what give this piece its true storage potential. Inside is shelving, two layers in fact, so you can make the most of the space. And don’t forget the drawers on top. This buffet is versatile.
It’s in the detail
Where to begin? Every piece within the Halifax Contrast collection has a classic silhouette which features a moulded plinth at its base and flared cornice on top. The antiqued hardware is in the form of traditional cup handle and button knob with exposed bolts to match. And then there’s the period-style panelling and bevelled drawer fronts.
Not only do sliding cupboard doors look good, but they serve a purpose too. Say you want a storage piece but in a tricky space where opening cupboard doors might prove difficult, sliding doors are the perfect solution. And don’t forget the drawers on top.
Buffets don’t have to be big. This scaled-down version of our larger design makes it workable in tight spots or smaller living spaces like city apartments or a cosy cottage.
The design of the Halifax Contrast entertainment unit takes traditional elements, like its classic contours and use of solid wood, but reimagines them in a way that’s sleek, low in profile but high in the style stakes.
Neat and tidy
Unsightly wires are a thing of the past. The cable management system means that wires are kept under control. No more knots and more importantly, nothing getting in the way of the entertainment unit’s good looks.
Short on space? Choose the compact version of the entertainment unit. Got lots of room? Go supersize with the larger version.
Let’s talk layers
We’re lovers of designs that can multitask. A coffee table with multiple storage layers is a winner because it provides a space for everything you need to be close at hand. The longer shelves in particular call out for stacks of glossy magazines, and on top there has to be your statement coffee table book at the very least.
X marks the spot
One of the most defining features of this coffee table is the X shape woodwork at either end. Its strong lines make it even more confident and gives it just a touch of modernity.
We hope you enjoyed this presentation of the Halifax Contrast collection. The entire collection is available in our shops.
